According to the National Fire Protection Association, approximately 70% of all fire and emergency protection services in the United States are provided by volunteer fire departments. These men and women dedicate their time, effort and personal safety to protect our communities.
Recently, the Rea Valley Fire Protection District was established by a public ordinance in Marion County on May 14, 2013. The fire district was established for the building, equipping, and operating of a fire station or stations equipped with fire trucks, fire hoses, tankers and other equipment along with trained personnel for extinguishing fires. The district also provides search and rescue, and emergency medical services to the people of the fire district. |
